Corrigan firmly believes that our ability to continue to elevate the moving experience is only through our ability to recruit, train, and retain the best in the moving business. We’re capable of doing this because of Corrigan Academy, an extensive program that covers all topics – from moving skills and operations to customer service and paperwork – to provide the craftsmanship that the Corrigan name stands for.

When it comes to a customer’s home or place of business and their possessions, we’re the trusted source. Every person on our team must pass a comprehensive background check. We’ve also created a modern moving studio within our building to make sure our staff are equipped with the essential skills and knowledge to walk our customers through the moving process before starting in the field. Our whole crew of skilled, highly-trained and dedicated staff is continuously raising the industry standard.

Extensive, hands-on training

All new crews complete a hands-on training class at the Kathleen Corrigan Training center, which covers the necessary techniques of the moving industry before being sent out to a customer’s house. Several additional classes are offered to our crews through the Corrigan Academy, including packing, international moving training, crew leader training, and CDL-A driving training. No other moving company offers the level of hands-on training that the Corrigan Academy provides.

In-House CDL-A Training

One of the highlights of the Corrigan Academy is our in-house CDL-A Driver Training program. While a countrywide driver-shortage has been an issue in the transportation industry for years, Corrigan has created a program to reduce this problem. Through training and promoting current movers, we not only have more CDL-A drivers on staff to provide services to our customers, but we additionally are able to give a lifelong skill to a qualified person.
